Tour Packages from Vaniyambadi

Two of the easiest tour packages to arrange are also the shortest. Yelagiri, roughly 25 to 30 km and about 45 minutes to an hour away, is a compact hill station of orchards, rose gardens and a cooler climate that works well as a half-day or full-day outing without an overnight stay. Vellore, about 65 km and roughly an hour and a half by road, packs Vellore Fort, the Sripuram Golden Temple and CMC Vellore into a single day trip — useful whether the visit is a temple outing, a hospital appointment, or both in the same run. Weekday mornings tend to make for the easiest booking on either route, and a few travellers ask about covering both destinations in one extended day — that's possible to discuss with our coordinator, though most people find one hill or temple stop is enough to enjoy properly rather than rushing between two. Tiruvannamalai, about 110 km and roughly two hours fifteen minutes to two and a half hours away via NH44, is built around the Arunachaleswarar Temple — one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams and a 25-acre complex topped by a roughly 66-metre Rajagopuram tower. Many visitors also want to walk part or all of the 14 km Girivalam circuit around Arunachala Hill, especially around full-moon nights, and a tour package built for that means the car and driver wait through a longer temple stop rather than treating it as a quick drop-and-go. Kanchipuram, about 100 to 110 km and roughly two to two and a half hours away, is known as the City of 1000 Temples and for its handwoven Kanchipuram silk — a day built around Kailasanathar, Ekambareswarar and Varadharaja Perumal temples, with time set aside if silk shopping is part of the plan.

Tiruvannamalai and Kanchipuram, both roughly two to two and a half hours from Vaniyambadi, can each be run as a single long day, or combined into a two-day temple tour with an overnight stop if you'd rather take both at an easier pace.

Ooty, the "Queen of Hill Stations" in the Nilgiris, is about 250 km and roughly five to six hours away, with tea gardens, Doddabetta peak and the Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train enough to fill two or three days. Kodaikanal, the "Princess of Hill Stations" in the Western Ghats, is the furthest of the three at about 425 km and roughly eight to nine hours, and is best planned as a longer trip built around Kodai Lake and its granite cliffs and forested valleys rather than a rushed there-and-back.
